Itinerary
Day 01 & 02- Anuradapura
Anuradhapura was the first capital of Sri Lanka established in the 4th century BC. It was the royal capital for 119 successive Singhalese Kings and lasted for about thousand five hundred years. Many historic monuments and buildings still remain in the acres of this sacred land.The historic city of Anuradhapura is an essential stop on any tour of Sri Lanka. This city, located around 205 kms north of Colombo, is one of eight World Heritage Sites in Sri Lanka and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.
Activities
• Arrive at Sri Lanka (Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport

• Proceed to Anuradhapura ancient city
• Explore the ancient heritage sites in Anuradhapura such as Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanweli Mahaseya, Jethawanarama, Isurumuniya and etc

Day 03 & 04- Jaffna
Jaffna is the northernmost city in the tropical island of Sri Lanka located about 400 km north of Colombo and about 35 km from mainland India. It is a peninsula and the city of Jaffna stands as Sri Lanka’s 12th largest city.
Jaffna features a tropical rainforest climate with no true dry season month. Jaffna has the highest average temperature in Sri Lanka- 83 oF. The temperature is highest in the months of April- May and August- September. The temperature is lowest in December- January. The annual rainfall is brought in by the north-east monsoon and it varies from one place to the other and also from year to year. The average rainfall is 50 inches in the western part of Jaffna peninsula.

• Proceed to Jaffna City tour to explore the sights such as Delf Island, Point of Pedro, Jaffna Library, Keerimalai Hotwater Spring, Nallur Hindu Temple and etc

Day 05 & 06- Trincomalee
Famous for its deep, sapphire-blue harbour, its powdery beaches and charming Hindu culture, Trincomalee has always been one of Sri Lanka’s most captivating destinations. Located along the far-flung north eastern coast of Sri Lanka, it is easy to reach from the Cultural Triangle, and can be accessed via air from a handful of locations in Sri Lanka.
Activities
• After the breakfast proceed to Trincomalee
• Enroute visit Koneshwaram Temple, located on a cliff overlooking the temple
• Stay relaxed by Nilaveli Beach at the evening
• Proceed to Trincomalee city tour to explore Trincomalee Harbour, Trincomalee Fortress, Pigeon Island & Marble Beach
• Overnight stay in Trincomalee

Day 07 & 08- Sigiriya
This ancient city preserves monuments from our ancestors that date back to 2500 years. Sigiriya Lion Rock is an ancient rock fortress known for its massive column of rock that reaches nearly 200 meters high. The site dates back to the reign of King Kasyapa (477-495 AD), who chose this site as his new capital. He decorated the walls with frescoes, and built an impressive palace right on top of the rock column, accessible only through the mouth of an enormous carved lion.

• After the breakfast proceed to Sigiriya
• Proceed to Sigiriya Lion Rock
• Pay a visit to Dambulla Cave Temple
• Have the experience of Sri Lankan village tour with bullock cart ride, traditional boat ride and traditional cooking demonstration

Day 09- Colombo
Colombo, the vibrant capital of Sri Lanka, seamlessly blends modern urban life with rich historical and cultural heritage. As the capital city of the country, Colombo is a bustling metropolis that offers a myriad of experiences for travelers. From the colonial-era architecture and temples to bustling markets and contemporary dining and shopping options, Colombo is a dynamic city that caters to all interests.
Activities
• After the breakfast proceed to Colombo
• Enroute pay a visit to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
• Visit Gangarama Temple which is the main temple in the center of the city
• Explore Independence Square, Old Parliament, Lotus Tower and Galle Face Green
• Overnight stay in Colombo

Day 10 - The End
